I kissed the morning sky as it left your eyes
A tear fell aimlessly to the floor on which you lie
A silent scream betrayed the noise inside my head
Eternal night when the void claims you instead

The dark, the light, I’ve seen them fall
A death, rebirth, walk with us all
Among the ashes of your brothers and sisters
I dream black and white, though it fades in the pictures

History sleeps while we read what we’re left with
Memories and phantoms of names that regret this
War, but I’ve never seen such disappointment
As I have seen clearly in this bitter moment
